New Parish Life Director

We are very pleased to welcome our new Parish Life Director, Jeff Farthing! As a former educator with Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and as someone who grew up attending and serving at St. Augustine, Jeff brings much into his new role.

Feel free to say hi to him after Mass on the weekends, or connect with him via email: jfarthing@rcdos.ca!

From Jeff:

Hello, I am Jeff Farthing, your new Parish Life Director. I am the eldest son of parishioners, Gerry and Grace, husband of Pamela (Tynan), father to Matthew, Rebecca (husband Cody) and Mikeal and grandfather to Isaiah, Thomas, Christopher, and David.

I recently retired from teaching, where I spent most of career at St. Joseph High School. While teaching Christian Ethics/Catholic Studies and coaching basketball and volleyball at school and basketball and football in the community, I obtained my master’s degree in Religious Education.

I enjoy spending time with my family and playing golf and basketball. I also enjoy watching Star Wars movies and listening to Christian music, especially Toby Mac.

I believe my background and experiences will help me to be an effective parish life director. I am passionate about living and sharing my faith with others. I look forward getting to know all of you and I feel fortunate to be able to serve in this parish.
